Operational (SAFE+) Risk Training
This project requirement was to develop a multi-agency risk management course that better prepared staff to operate safely and manage incidents in rural and urban areas of heightened risk.
SITUATION
This was an operational risk management project to support a number of Inter-governmental and governmental organisations who wanted to strengthen joint interoperability in higher risk locations.
DIRECTION
We were asked to develop a joint safe system of working and training to embed the desired behaviours, knowledge and skills. Conduct training and evaluate outcomes.
ACTION
Research operational areas and incident patterns. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment. Understand existing procedures and cultures. Prepare joint systems of work. Develop a training needs analysis, build and deliver training.
